Women's Basketball

I’ve been playing basketball since I was 4 years old, and the sport has become a passion for me! I knew last year the varsity basketball team was counting on me to play the point that year so I knew I had to get stronger, faster and gain some lean weight so I wouldn't get pushed around by older opponents. She explained the program to my mother and me and gave me encouragement to eat the right foods and drink the right liquids. She also gave me advice on how to hydrate my body properly before during and after games so I can play at the peak level of performance for the entire game. I ended up gaining 10lb of lean weight, played varsity and kept going! I ended up playing basketball in college!

When I began I just wanted to gain weight. After measuring my body composition it was explained to me I would be leaner and faster if I lost fat and gained muscle at the same time! We also added the right mix of fuel over time to keep the momentum going! In the three years I gained over 50lb of lean weight, lost over 10% body fat, got faster, named All American and I am now playing football in college!

Our daughter was complaining of being tired all the time and you could see it translate into the water. Her swim coach referred us to Dawn & SN2Go. After everything we found out she needed at least 2500-3000 units of energy (calories) a day! Amazing since she was only 5'1 and 96lb. She was currently consuming 1800 with low high quality protein. Once we understood what, when & how much she needed, her energy levels surged and she had best times at every meet 9 months in a row. She started to grow, gained 10lb of lean weight and got leaner. That was crazy for us to see since sports nutrition & testing was the only thing we added. Her fueling also positively impacted her schooling. As a parent, it's great to see your child thrive in all areas!

Soccer FC Cincinnati Academy

When I first spoke with Dawn & SN2Go I was coming off a major ACL knee repair and getting back to lifting and training. I never thought of sports nutrition & testing. My head athletic trainer suggested it. So off I went. Before going, every meal and snack I ate was packaged, fried, or on the go. One of my favorite snacks were Little Debbie products. After all the testing and consult, I was ready to blindly just go for it! I went 150% with what she recommended. I went from 20% body fat to 8%! Gained over 49lb of lean weight in less than 6 months, which she informed was really rare to gain that amount of lean weight in that amount of time. I was faster, stronger and had unlimited endurance throughout practices and soccer matches. Currently I am 6'4 187lb and 8% body fat at 17 years old. I play for FC Cincinnati Academy. I am looking to go Pro! Dawn & SN2Go truly are amazing!

Gatorade XC Player 2021 & 2022

When I first saw Dawn, I really didn't want to see her. My doctor recommended her due to incurring multiple injuries over a period of time. I was concerned she was going to tell me I was eating too much, since I was consuming around 2500 calories. I couldn't believe it but after doing the testing, she said I was not eating enough fuel, protein or sodium at the right times. You will not believe it but I ran 40 seconds faster after two weeks of increasing my fuel, won state & ran another personal best at nationals. During that time I got leaner, gained 9lb of lean weight by eating 4000-4500 units of ideal fuel at the right times! I am so glad I went to see her!

I am a Registered/Licensed Dietitian with a specialty in Sports Nutrition and Founder of Sports Nutrition 2Go & Dawn Weatherwax's Sports Nutrition Academy. In addition, I am an Athletic Trainer with a Certification in Strength and Conditioning from The National Strength and Conditioning Association. This brings a comprehensive and unique understanding of the athlete's body, and its nutritional needs, to those interested in achieving specific performance goals and optimal health. I am also the author of The Official Snack Guide for Beleaguered Sports Parents, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Sports Nutrition and The Sports Nutrition Guide for Young Athletes.
