I didn’t set out to fix nutrition.
I set out to become an athletic trainer. My plan was simple: work in athletics, stay on the field, help athletes perform. Nutrition wasn’t part of the plan—it was something most people guessed at.
But during my training, I kept seeing the same problem.
Athletes were doing everything “right”—training harder, practicing more—yet they were still exhausted, injured, or underperforming. They weren’t lazy. They weren’t unmotivated.
They were misfueled.
At first, I didn’t believe nutrition could be the issue.
But the more I studied exercise physiology and sports nutrition, the clearer it became—fueling was the missing link.

That’s when I realized something critical:
